Digital Film Academy, also known in the industry as DFA, is a New York state-licensed school that specializes in digital filmmaking and media and coding education. DFA provides students with the creative learning environment needed to become a truly independent filmmaker. DFA offers both one year and advanced conservatory programs. In addition to state-of-the-art instruction in digital filmmaking, filmmakers receive a production membership to the academy’s facility upon graduation. This unique combination of instruction and access to the facility enables filmmakers to become independent and start working in the growing industry without having to invest thousands of dollars in equipment!

Our alumni have found tremendous success within the industry. DFA has produced Oscar winners, such as Brad Bailey for his documentary Hale, as well as renowned actors like Chadwick Boseman, who starred in Black Panther. Our alumni have had their work screened all over the world, including in the acclaimed Venice Film Festival. Other graduates have gone on to work with famous directors including Martin Scorsese and Ridley Scott. Our Code Immersives graduates have joined companies as professional web developers, as well as going on to launch successful start-ups. Digital Film Academy not only gives students the knowledge and experience to find their way in the industry, it also gives them the connections to find success quickly!

We’re so excited to begin working with Climb Credit! For those students whose financial aid does not cover all the cost of Digital Film Academy tuition, Climb gives them a means to pay for their education. This partnership between Digital Film Academy and Climb Credit offers students a highly affordable payment plan for attending film school in New York, and because payments can be spread over 24 months, it gives our students plenty of time to concentrate on their studies at one of the best film schools in the US!
